Applicants must be student members of the Aging &amp; Geropsychology section and presenting work related to the general topic of Aging &amp; Geropsychology. One award is designated for a presentation accepted by the Aging &amp; Geropsychology Section. The submission does not need to be associated with a presentation at the CPA convention but can be related to any research project, advocacy work, and\/or community\/volunteer project for which the student is involved during the period of September to August for the award year.<br \/>\nEligibility: Students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral level) at a Canadian institution. Student nominees must be directly involved in the project, community engagement,\u00a0 or research. Students can submit an application or be nominated for this award. Preference will be given to nominees who are student members of the Asian Psychology Section.<\/td>\n<td width=\"40%\" style=\"font-size:smaller;\">Students can self-nominate. The winner is recognized with a certificate and a cheque for $250.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for an award, the student MUST:<br \/>\n(1) Be a member of the CPA section on Brain and Cognitive Science<br \/>\n(2) Be the primary\/first author of the submission<br \/>\n(3) Provide a written summary of his\/her work (about 1000 words) in PDF format; the summary must include a brief introduction, followed by a summary of the Method, Results, and Discussion<br \/>\n(4) Provide a letter from the student\u2019s supervisor indicating that the research summary represents the student\u2019s independent contribution<\/p>\n<p>Awards will be determined based on a written summary of the research, layout\/style, and in-person presentation at the conference. This year, we are awarding 10 Clinical Section Travel Awards, each valued at $500 for travel. We are also awarding 3 additional travel awards each valued at $500 for early career psychologists (5 years from graduating or first appointment).<br \/>\nAll students (and early career psychologists) who have posters or presentations accepted by the Clinical Section are invited to apply. This award is separate from the travel bursaries granted by CPA to students traveling long distances.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the student awards, applicants must be:<br \/>\n\u2022 First author on a poster or oral presentation accepted by the Clinical Section for the CPA annual convention. The poster or oral presentation must present the results of an empirical study. The winner of this award receives a prize of $1,000. The award is named in honour of Dr. Lorne Kendall, a Canadian psychologist and member of CPA whose work on job satisfaction and various psychometric issues contributed greatly to the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology; and Charles (Chuck) Evans, Partner at RHR International, experienced leadership consultant, and mentor to many in the I\/O psychology community.<\/p>\n<p>All papers, posters, and presentations accepted in any part of the CSIOP program of the annual convention of CPA submitted by graduate or undergraduate students are eligible. To be considered for the award students must submit two copies of their paper in pdf format (no more than 15 double-spaced pages; one copy blinded for peer review, and one not blinded) as outlined below. The work must have been carried out by a student but may be part of a larger research program directed by someone else.
