Old North Psychology is a general psychotherapy practice in London, Ontario looking to grow our team of psychologists. Currently, we are a group practice of 6 clinical psychologists at varying points in our careers. We own and occupy a cozy, century building in downtown London, and our setting is more home-like than office-like. Our practice culture is relaxed with a focus on client care and cultivating a collegial work environment. We emphasize autonomy and independence while also providing opportunities to connect with colleagues for supervision, consult nights, and informally throughout your workday.
Our practice was established by Dr. Lisa Destun in 2002, making it one of the most well-established practices in London. Old North Psychology is a busy and dynamic practice that receives a wide range of referrals from various community sources. We hire only PhD-level (or PhD-track) psychologists, which makes our practice quite unique within London. We primarily offer services to adults, both individual and couples, with some of us seeing adolescents. If you are an autonomous psychologist you will be able to tailor your caseload to your preference. Perhaps you are working in a hospital or organizational setting and wanting to expand your breadth of practice with a few days in private practice or are looking for a different career opportunity altogether with more control and flexibility in your workday. If you are a Ph.D-track student, psychology resident, or looking for supervised practice opportunity, we would be thrilled to work with you to create a personalized placement to suit your training and career objectives.
We have flexibility in our office space and enough referrals to allow for full-time work but also welcome those wanting to work on a part-time, casual basis. We are also flexible when it comes to virtual or in-person services and leave it up to each clinician to manage their preferred schedule. Of course, daytime, evening, and weekend work is available, depending on your availability.
